Health according to the World Health Organization, Health is " a state of complete physical, mental qnd social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" Wellness is now an everyday term that has been largely misunderstood and misused. Most people think that if they feel good and don't hurt, then they are well. Nothing could be further from the truth!
Studies show that 75%-95% of early deaths in the U.S. are preventable. Poor lifestyle choices are directly accountable for 99.8% of sickness and disease in out country!! Yes 99.8%!! Bad genes and bad luck have nothing to do with most illnesses.
After studying Wellness and Chiropractic as a lifestyle, here is what I know: In order to help someone become healthy, you must first change how they think about their lifestyle choices and what health means. New research has shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that a properly functioning spine is ABSOLUTELY needed for your nervous system to do what it is designed and programmed to do. In today's society, chiropractic care has become a must for various reasons: sedentary living, toxic lifestyle choices, and birth trauma, these all cause your spine and nervous system to function less opimally. And we are the ONLY profession trained to improve how your nervous system works through specific adjusting techniques.
Wellness Chiropractors are the most qualified of any professional when it comes to wellness--we look at the body through a different paradigm ( a lens through which you view the world and guides you with each decision you make). I as a wellness chiropractor treat your mind and body as one they are interlinked together through the nervous system. I help remove the roadblocks(subluxation) and that allows the body to do what it was designed and programmed to do. My focus is on creating and maintaining long term health and well-being by helping you with life-long lifestyle choices (wellness care). At my office this includes correcting the spinal subluxations that are not allowing your body to reach its optimum functionability as it was designed to do, nutrition consulting to help you with your food habits, diet and whole food supplementation, and help you put into action some form of daily exercise.
